Meet Erik Augustson
Erik has spent over 30 years working at the intersection of public health, behavioral science, clinical psychology, and individual growth. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology with post-doctoral training in behavioral medicine and an MPH with a focus on population-level program design and assessment. His experience includes leadership roles across the US federal government, academic medicine, clinical settings, private sector, and non-profit organizations; encompassing projects ranging from individual-focused to large-scale initiatives that have touched the lives of millions. But behind the titles and the multi-million-dollar budgets has always been the same quiet thread: a deep belief in people's capacity to grow professionally and personally, given the right support and the right amount of time.
Less evident than his professional experience, throughout his career, Erik has been passionate and committed to mentoring and coaching, working with people spanning from college undergraduates to senior leaders. He brings a person-centered, growth-oriented, values-based approach developed from decades spent building resilient and motivated teams. Grounded in the philosophy that nurturing individuals’ professional and personal growth was paramount for the team as a whole and each team member successfully navigating the often stressful, highly dynamic nature of complex programs.
